I have a beautiful old chair that i would love to know more about.
The seat is timber and leather and has cast metal step and foot rest.
The foot rest has the brand National ornately cast into it. The chair, including the foot rest lean back and the chair swivels.
I hesitate calling it a barber’s chair because of the colourful way it has been painted.
It may be a make-up chair, possibly from a circus?

Is anyone able to help me identify my chair and maybe help me to learn its history?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
