Antique Barber Chairs, why collectors love them › Forums › Koken Barber Chairs › Need Value on 1935 Koken Barber Chair
it is in great condition for the age. no tears, cracking, or rips in the upholstery. it has the usual surface rust but still very solid. it the head rest and foot and ankle rest. it reclines but the hydraulic either doesn’t work or I just don’t know how to operate it. the porcelain is in good condition for the age as well. it also has some kind of leather strap that hangs from one of the arms that looks to be original as well. the cast iron ring on the bottom of the chair is cracked and is missing a portion of it. I’d rate the condition a 7/10.
