Hi there, i had a couple questions that i figured you may be able to answer for me. Ive restored two early 1900’s koken chairs and am now moving onto 3 more that are seemingly older and more prestigious.
I recently picked up a wood based kochs colombia congress, a Jones and CO. koken missing a base, and another kochs that is mostly complete. The congress and the mostly complete kochs i am not worried about those seem like relatively straight forward projects. But the Jones and Co. is throwing me off a little. There is no base for it and it looks to be similar to the other jones and co. chairs ive seen from the late 1800’s very early 1900’s. It has hydraulics, probably from koken, and it has these two inserts for the metal valves at the bottom of the stem. What i need to find is a base or close base that will match. Will the kochs bases from similar years match the koken stem? I can send you pictures via email if that will help but i also need to find a base and wondering if you have something compatible that i could buy off you guys? Please get back to me asap thank you.
