Hydraulic questions

I just acquired what appears to be a Louis Hanson barber chair. I am missing the handles for the hydraulics and not sure how the pump was actually designed to work. Perhaps a foot pedal? Are there any specs or other details available regarding the hyd systems on these chairs?
