Hello all I have just bought my first 1950s something belmont barber chair. I’m in the process of disassembling it, and i am down to the Hyd cylinder. The chair hydraulic system has to be rebuilt and I’m trying to separate the cylinder into the what i assume is the inner and outer, with no luck i might add.I’m thinking it is just rusted together, but I don’t want to force it if I’m missing something. The chrome outer sleeve that is held on by four screws is still attached. Does that need to come off and will it reveal bolts that hold the two cylinders together? Thanks
Hi, I have a 1950″s Red Leather Belmont as well and my hydraulics are shot…I am thinking of selling it…what value was your Belmont appraised at??
